A trick is to tighten the bolt/nuts before loosening. Just a little 1/8rmp til it makes a sound/klik

Hi
Thanks. I got it ) (asked the Question to renew a Turbo for my Friends D24T) --------------------------------------------------------------- This are the specifications of MY new Turbo: Compressor Wheel Housing: Inlet 50,5mm Outlet: 76mm A/R: 0,5 Inch Trim: 55 Comp. Housing Plange: Inlet 70mm Outlet 52mm Turbine wheel Housing: Inlet 74,2mm , Outlet 56,6mm Trim: 58 :-) Do you think I will be happy with it ? (Will install it in 2 Weeks, including Intercooler and a Oil Cooler- 9 Rows are OK ? Or to small ?? - I Will remove the original Oil/Water Heater *lol*) except anyone here says that i will not be happy with this turbo , because its to big/ to small (whatelse, donīt have a plan *lol*) Greetings Last edited by sonny; 06-21-2015 at 02:02 PM. |

Installed the Turbo.
It "comes" very slowly (spooling ...). 0,2 Bar at 2400 rpm and i set it to 0,8 bar at 4500 rpm . (More boost impossible, Turbo is too big.) I Think this Turbo is a little bit tooo Big for the Engine. I Screwed the Fuel Screw a half in, so it spools a little bit quicker, but smoke smoke smoke ... What can i do ? Remove it and install another one ? Or can i modify this one ? I think the Exhaust Turbine is too big, Takes a loooot of time to spool up . Iīm unhappy with it. Greetings |

Factory d24t turbo specs are: compressor wheel- 42mm/60mm .42 AR Turbine wheel- 65.5 mm/50mm .36 +/- AR (don't know exactly the AR) The turbo I have been running for years: Turbonetics super 60: Compressor- 48mm/60mm super 60 Turbine- 58mm/49mm .48 AR I have been happy with this turbo, turbine wheel could be a bit bigger but it spools good. I can see 10psi by 2200. You can configure the exhaust housing any way you want. I chose to go with a 5 bolt to v-band.

Hi
Thanks alot for the Info. Hm, I in Europe cant find anything about "Turbonetics" ... ?! Am I here right: https://turboneticsinc.com/store/ind...product_id=536 ? What about the Wastegate ? (To install a Boost Controller.) - Seemed that this is a Turbo without Wastegate. Greetings Last edited by sonny; 07-15-2015 at 10:20 AM. |

Here is where I got mine:
http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...per+60+Stage+1 You use this for the waste gate: http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...nd+Turbonetics You would need to modify your downpipe. I'm not sure if the wastegate will fit with the oil filter bracket (I'm not running a wastegate, but I should)
