Default new 245 D24TIC driver says "hello"

Hello, i'am Jan from the Netherlands, driving a '78 volvo 245 D24TIC.
I drove 2 245's before 1st. B23E, then D24 and now my D24TIC i swapped myself two years ago.

In my opinion a 245 is the most awesome volvo and a D24 in it is "the cream" on it.
The sound, torque and longlasting live(if treated well!!) is very good.
When i was young my uncle had a 245diesel and i was very impressed by that car.Now i drive one myself and i'am very proud.

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for joining up. The community here has been growing pretty steady, especially with members from Europe. Great pics too, I haven't seen many good pictures up close of a factory IC engine.

thanks Jason,

I have plenty of photo's , so if the storage-space is big enough on this site i can drop a lot more.
In holland there are not much people interested in the wonderfull D24's so i think i'm gonna visit this forum frequently......

When i was on "brickboard" i got here via a link or so and was very suprised to find this fine forum!!!thanks a lot for al the work you put in to make a forum especially for the D24.

I wrote a lot of threads for the dutch volvo 240 forum, named "volvolvo" and i plan to translate some of them , maybe there are guys here who find it nice to read.

one of my story's you can see here;

Feel free to post up any pics.. The build/showroom section would be a good place, you can make your own thread about the car. Its more an issue of having the space where you host the pictures than the site having room. Either way, the hosting package I got is unlimited storage for the forum, so post away! Any info you can translate from anywhere about these cars or engines will be helpfull and I'm sure many will be interested to read it.

I checked out your link.. I couldn't read it but the pictures were great!

What kind of turbo did you use? Also interesting to see the different placement of the accesories on the engine compaired to the location on the US D24T engines (like the power steering, and whatever is on the left side running on the v belt?)
