Lightbulb eBay oil filter adapter installation, sender, & gauge

Hello dieselers!

Last summer I procured an "oil filter adapter" for my D24T. I removed my stock oil cooler after it leaked and wanted to use the adapter for an oil temperature sender and gauge. Naturally the adapter has required some fiddling to get working just right. This thread will detail the progress of this little project.

For historical reference, I made note of the adapter in this post here: http://www.d24t.com/showpost.php?p=7236&postcount=9

I needed to modify the "oil cooler bracket" (Volvo P/N 1328197 "Bracket") to accommodate the adapter. Not wanting to practice on the car in situ, I bought an extra bracket from my pal Anders : http://www.d24t.com/showthread.php?t=1170. I also bought (from Anders) an additional D24 double-male oil filter nipple now that the oil cooler is gone.

I'll update this [stub article] as I get pictures and more of the write up completed.
