I have a E-fan on my d24. To get more clearance I'm using a 92+ 740 radiator

Did the stock radiator not allow the e-fan to fit once you took out the clutch fan? I have an e-fan from a Ford Taurus that I was planning on using. It seemed to fit ok when I mocked it up.

I've never heard of a common thing to use to remove the vac pump. Even the newer TDI's have vac pumps and brakes.

I sold the radiator before I could test fit it and it was not in that great of shape. I'm using a 17 inch E-fan I bought from Jegs for $80.

Default fan switch

what fan switches you useing? what temp? I seen on bricks they use saab 9000, splices into top hose , that brake vac pump thing-most diesels seem to use a rotory type so it dont do that clack clack clack thing yeh vw still used it on quite late model vans, once you get the noise in your head you hear em coming a mile off D6s rule. Fan may even save 2 or3 bhp extra for the wheels, they need it lol.
