Lost 1.5 litres in 55 miles
Hi Everyone
I’ve just bought LT 4.0 with a wet engine on the right hand side. We travelled for 300 miles and the final journey of 55 miles dropped the oil by 1.5 litres. The stater is covered in oil and is failing to turn the engine. My question is, apart from the turbo, is there any thing else that could be loosing the oil? G

Welcome to the forum!
That is quite a lot of oil so it should be easy to find the source. Clean well the engine and after a short drive you should be able to see evidence of the leak. Sometimes it can be more difficult to pinpoint the exact source; remember that externally leaking oil drips downward from the source, sometimes at the front of the engine it can also stream rearwards due to incoming air currents from the front.
