Oil pressure light...
Hello,
Hi, I was driving my VW LT Florida yesterday and the oil light start lighting a little bit. After I turn off engine, and turn ignition again the oil light start blinking (just like it should) but the light don`t want to switch off totally. It is lighting in 100% and than in about 50%. I think it might be some electrical problem, not oil pressure, but I need to get to oil presure sensor mounted in the engine. Anyone know where should I search for it? From the cabin, or from the bottom of the car? I heard that there are two presure sensors in those engines. I hope you will understand what I mean I also put link to the video: https://youtu.be/5uRqemEjMWo Thanks, Maxim |

I have had bad oil pressure sensors before, that causes the low oil pressure indicator to remain lit during running. The sensor mounted low on the block under the vacuum pump, next to the motor mount bracket.

I disconnected it, and when ignition is on, the oil light is still lighting a little bit. Just like on the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jt95PDKiPGg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uRqemEjMWo I heard that there is another oil pressure sender. Anyone knows where? I have got D24 TIC. |
