Default Oil on top of valve cover

Car is '82 245 with stock non-turbo D24 engine. 108,000 miles.

I'm seeing oil collecting on top of the valve cover, near where the vent hose attaches. (The other end of that hose connects to the

I wipe it off with a rag, and it reappears after a hundred miles or so. There isn't a lot, but enough to be noticeable.

I can easily wipe it up but I was wondering if that was telling me something... Or if it indicated an issue of some sort...

Engine doesn't use a lot of oil; it is down a little more than half a quart since the oil was changed 1300 miles ago.
