Default Do I need a engine oil cooler now?

Ok since I have now put a turbo on my car I have noticed that the oil pressure runs at slightly less pressures. I have the stock oil pressure gauge and sender, stock D24t oil filter mount, stock D24t turbo feed and drain lines. I did change from 10w/30 conventional oil to full synthetic 5w/30. Is a cooler just added insurance or is a must to have. What are my options for a cooler? Thanks.

Oil pressure might be a little lower because of the oil being fed to the turbo.
How much pressure before, how much after turbo swap?
Oil cooler I think will be needed if you plan on upping the boost and fuel, with factory fuel and boost levels in a 240 in western Washington I wouldn't worry about it though.
You can run an oil cooler from a b21/b23ft, it's an easy addition. Or you can use the stock d24t "heat exchanger" too.
Have a way to read oil temp?

Hot and cold High and low are roughly the same, but because of the turbo the oil gets hot a LOT quicker.

I know there is a guy on Turbobricks that sells a oil filler plug temp gauge but I dont know if its the same thread as our D24 pans.

That's probably the oil drain plug you mean. Does your engine not have the "stock" oil/coolant heat exchanger?

Haha yes the drain plug, whoops. No stock heat exchanger. My D24 never cam with a heat exchanger. Also are there any other spots on the block to take engine oil pressure/temp readings other than the stock location for the gauge/idiot light?

on the bottom of the oil pump, off to the exhaust side.

20VT may look slightly different.

Does anybody know the range of resistance of this sender. I am assuming cold is 0 OHMS. I want to use it with a Stewart Warner elec oil gauge. It has a 100-325 F range. I can't find the specs for the sender or the gauge. Does anybody know how to find either. Thanks.
