Testing uploading an image

Seemed to work via the method referenced above, can you see the example tstat? Where in the process did your photo upload not work? (BTW, that is what the correct D24(T) tstat and gasket look like.)

Anyway, your gasket being only 2 years old is still probably in good enough shape for the time being as long as you did not see any gouges or other deformities in it, and it did not get soaked in oil or overheated.

hi NGOMA
got photo thanks yes my stat is good now no overheating .and no leaks im hoping volvo send me the correct O ring like on the photo will be taking the wrong Ring back to dealer when new one arrives . do you have a good source for spares ie hoses the long one at the back of the engine which goes right round and plugs into one end of the drain of valve is now discontinued so my dealer says .can you get them or now a fix for this ?

hi all
just latest update the cars new bottom and top radiator hoses fitted ok and no leaks from thermostat area either . im awaiting replacement O ring from main dealers will let you know what type i get when it arrives

hi all just update
got new gasket from volvo today its as you said just round O ring so i will sea this . no leaks now since cleaning mateing faces and refitting gasket and thermostat that had only been on 2 years

Good to hear it worked out.

The links in post #14 above should help you with your questions about heater hoses in your other thread. You can build replacement hoses from parts that are readily available and the result is a better setup than the original. But, you have to read the instructions carefully and go through it step by step in order to get good results on the first try.

We're here to answer any specific questions you have after digesting the information in those threads.
