I think that the Conversion kit for gasser cars can be used without problem in a Diesel. Like 2 o 3 guys are selling adapter plates to use a T5 or Getrag transmissions behind a M46 bellhousing.

Hadn't heard of that... Have any more info? Using another trans besides a volvo M46 or 47 would open up a lot more options and make it easier to find something for a swap.

Interesting, thanks for posting up the links... How do you know if the transmission imput shaft will work with the diesel clutch? I see these are all based around using it on a gas engine.

Because the difference between the "Gasser" and the "Diesel" M46 is the bellhousing and the clutch kit. Somepeople use the D24T clutch as "performance" clutch for their modified gas engines with M46/M47 gearbox. Also, you can contact the supplier, they are friendly and like work with Volvos.
