Default How about some big-ass turbo info!

This is for the guys over in Europe, where there are obviously some volvo diesels making some big power. I was wondering if anyone knew the combination of compressor and turbine housings used with a HX40 like what was in the video that IceV posted up. I'm looking to go real big on the turbo, and would like some ideas on what is being run over there.

940tdic.

Thats one.

Another 940tdic.

Fitting nicely. Garret gt32 on last pictures.
Those ones i found by searching quickly. You get some idea there,
and gt32 seems to be pretty common choice here on high-power tuning.

Wow! Now see thats what I'm talking about! Tubular custom made manifolds! Awesome. Know the specs on the gt32?

I was sold on the hx40, untill I came across the specs of a T4 "T66" compressor upgrade for my turbo. 66mm compressor wheel with a .70 A/R. The inlet on the housing is 4"!!! Thats a 10mm increase in diameter compaired to what I'm running now. I've got the partial set of ARP head studs sitting here at the house. All I need to do is order the vw diesel set and I'll be good to go. We will see what the turbo's potential is that I have now. Its sounding pretty good at 18lbs, but I have alot more fuel to throw at it.

The one in the top pics looks like the engine from the "d24T engine test" video thats on you tube with the black lowered 940.. Is that a HX40?

Where are you finding this stuff?

I cant find with quick search exact stats of those turbos,
nor nothing else what are they using. Weird, i could bet ive seen somewhere
suggested sizes. I get my pics from finnish Volvo forum,
shame, they dont support english visitors at all, so no english forum there.
