Head Rebuild
Great that helps a lot. Local shop has quoted $1000.00 minimum. Been quite awhile since they have seen one. Do I just take a wire wheel to it to clean the chambers?
Thanks again |

Brake clean and bristle pad works good. Don't want to mar up the gasket surface to bad.

I keep wondering, Is it okay to use regular gasoline to soak the head in? Recently, soaking parts in a large plastic bin full of gasoline beautifully decarboned one of my poopy full intakes and it dries stuff too (evaporates) and leaves no residue (i think)....
But you cant use it near electric equipment and no smoking is allowed lol. All dirt and all corrosion/rust and oil and carbon all disappeared.....Cheap too. |
