In the meantime, I did some work on the interior, fixing bits and pieces, tighting loose ends and making it uni-color once again.
(reminder: original interior was "tan" leather that was completely thrashed, so this interior came from my spare 964 3.0 in the front, and wagon rear seat and trunk bits came from friends 945 parts car)

CB Antenna...because I had to do something with the hole someone made to put a VW Golf Mk4 styled mock FM antenna:

The car in the back is my 944:

Sorry if I put too many images, btw, but it has been a while and I needed to catch-up with the work done on the car...

Sounds like a lot of progress, looks great! New interior makes a nice difference. I have never seen cloth upholstery like that, what did those seats come out of?

What's next on it?

Neither did I see that cloth before, and we've taken it, together with trunk area trims, from a 945 my friend keeps as a shed in his backyard. Considering the "new" style of headrests, I could say it is a '95+ model. Will ask him.

As for the "upcoming"...I'm still focusing on the "stage 0" or - getting it to look like when it was new, which is now almost done - few trim pieces on the outside, re-upholstering seats in leather that would match door-cards, same with the headliner, some more suspension and brakes work an that would be it...

In the meantime, I'm collecting data on various Volvo/VW diesel sites, gathering parts for home-built turbo-pressure and EGT gauges, waiting for MBC to arrive and then I will probably go with straight exhaust, all of that and taking the pump apart, governor mod, etc...standard "more power" route. I do not have a specific target power, just want to see where can I take it without compensating too much driveability and reliability.

By the way, I think my injectors are nearing the end of their life, even though a local Bosch-guru had them on the desk and decided that they were fine.
So, I wanted to ask, since I never found anything on the subject...is there a replacement for these injectors - something that would fit in there and better support the modifications I plan on doing, or should I just go with new original injectors, and if so, what are their pressure-specifications: same as on VW 1.6TD, or...?

Thank you!

155 BAR, and I have yet to see a good case for the injectors being a choke point till you approach double stock fueling.

Did you add the insulation to the heat tubes in the dash?

So, you think I should stick with the 155bar injectors? There are no higher pressure ones and/or no gains from them?

I replaced the tubes with a '94 964 with passenger airbag ones, and they seem to be more insulated.
I regret not heat and sound proofing the car a bit more while I had everything apart.
Think I should at some time later, and if yes, what should I use for it?

Good sound deadening tips on this website:
http://www.raamaudio.com/pages/How%252dTo.html

I and a few others have rebuilt D24T injectors with Monark 039 305 138 nozzles. Updated GTD-style high quality nozzles from Germany. Good results.

I went by the Bosch shop today and asked about 155bar nozzles, chief mentioned two companies in town that sell them, for one he said just price (about half of the other's) and for the other he said: "German stuff. Very good."; maybe it's that Monark thing. About 20$ a piece. Sounds like a good deal.
I will write down code from your post and check with them one of these days. Thank you.

Question...a D24TIC with the stock T04 Garett, what boost level could it produce with the wastegate blocked-off and what amount of boost could be in the safe zone?

Also, what is the stock boost, i.e. where does the WG start to open and where is it fully open?

Finally, what sensor triggers the "TURBO" light in the dashboard, where is it located and what conditions trigger it?

Thanks.
