Default N/A Manifold - is this right?

Just checking, is this the right N/A Inlet Manifold I should be looking for as an upgrade?

yeah, its a small improvement. It need to have the rear opening shut. It should give better low end power and over all easier to get more air into the manifold.

Cool, ok - it's off a VW LT diesel (NA) truck/camper, not a Volvo NA. We never got the NA or the T in the UK - only the Tic! Got it for £30 which isn't too bad, so will see how much difference it makes over the standard Tic manifold.

Obviously need some new boost piping - would I be better upsizing straight out of the intercooler, or keeping it the same size from the intercooler, then upsizing just as it goes into the manifold?

What do I close the rear off with? And why does it have 2 openings?

yep thats the one it has 2 openings so the air filter can be fitted either end depending on what vehicle it was in ,just had a rubber cap on other end but no good to us cos had a hole for breather pipe or somesuch, on mine I cut a disc out of a scrap alloy sump & welded on , need to fit a nipple for boost pipe to ip , the hose I just hunted round the truck breakers where I got the manifold till I found some the size and that reduced a bit too .or u can check out motor sport parts supply dealers online ,u can get pretty much any shape & size your likely to need eg rallydesign.co.uk & new gasket from volvo was only @£7! was thinking of reversing flow on my ic so cool pipe was the short one so it didnt have time to heat up again dont know any theory of pipe dia verses gas velocity so cant say what size is best
