Looking for a pristine/mint 240 Diesel wagon. M46 Transmission.

It's getting very hard to find diesel wagons, or any diesel Volvo for that matter in good shape, even in the epicenter of Volvos here in the PNW.
Have you thought about buying a nice gasser wagon and converting over to diesel? It's actually a very easy job on a 240.

Gasser swap also means you could start with a later year 245, which have some improvements, better rust protection, more modern AC and climate control in the late year cars (92+?), ABS, better wiring, etc. And easier to find the late cars in nice shape/low miles, since they are not as old and more of them are around, although the good ones seem to be expensive now...
