Default Back to the track again! Still couldn't hit a 15 though...

Well, back out to another tuesday test and tune at Gateway International. Got home under its own power this time though! (no broken rear end with the new lincoln locker!). Anyway, I made 4 passes, I'm only posting the last two as the first two weren't anything exciting, the first pass of the evening was a crappy 18sec one since it had been sitting for a while and wasn't hot and was cutting out/having stress like usual if its not up to temp. The best I could get was a 16.3 which is slower than my best of a 16.07. However, this is still encouraging! The air last night was HORRIBLE. It was in the 80s with probably 80% humidity. The volvo was running like crap anyway. Also, from last time I was there I turned the fuel down some since its gotten hot outside it was very smokey driving around to the point it was getting annoying. I forgot to turn it back up when I got to the track though! Next time I go, I'll have the fuel turned up, it will have a lift pump as I think its starving for fuel by 3rd gear, and hopefully some decent weather will be on tap, at least lower humidity or maybe temps in the 70s. It runs SO much better when its cooler outside. Come hell or high water I will get this thing into the 15s with the original worn out engine! When the new engine goes in we will put down some respectable times!

Watch the launch on the first video, after much trial and error I finnaly got the launch down. The mustang I raced ran mid 12s, and I actually half way stayed in the same neighborhood off the line! 60' was a 2.2, I think I can get a 2.0 out of it with the power its making now that I know what needs to be done.

Enjoy!

Ha! No, but got tired of cutting and rewelding the down pipe every time. I need another v-band clamp to make the down pipe come out with just the twist of a wing nut. Also I didn't know untill the last minute that I was even going, it had been raining and I thought they were gonna cancel. I didn't have time to install it anyway.
