Default Hello From Tampa, Florida

Hey guys how is it going? Name is Shawn and I got the 83 760 that someone had posted the Craigslist ad for. This is my first diesel Volvo, I used to have a 79 245 but it was gas. I also have an 82 Rabbit Caddy that is diesel so I have a small clue as to what is going on. Very small though.
So far everything is great got a lot of parts on order and just waiting for them to come in. Once they do I will test all the injectors and do the timing belt, oil and other stuff.
My speedo, odometer and windshield washer don't work. Hopefully I will have all of that solved soon. I am in need of a passenger side strut. Other than that everything is great.
This is my other VW diesel.

Nice! I like the rabbit.
I also just picked up a 760 as my first diesel volvo.
I don't plan to keep the 760 body so as soon as I get the powertrain out of the vehicle, the suspension is mint and I could maybe part out some things for you!

Spiffy you would be my hero! Why would you get rid of the body?
I love the Rabbit as well. It is in the process of having the front end changed over to round headlights and interior rust repair. It is a Florida car so not much rust on it. The battery exploded and ate up under the hood though.

The body has lots of typical new england rust and some other issues, but the suspension was just redone by the PO.
