Default Fuel hose sizes and types please?

I have just bought a 1995 Volvo 940 S TIC auto estate (wagon), I had a 740 TD previously that had the same small problem - dribbling return hoses on the injectors. I got round this on the 740 by shortening the original (original looking) braided hoses and stopped them leaking. I would like to change some of the original (looking) hose on this 940 as one of them is leaking. What are the hose sizes please - 3.2mm i.d., 3.4mm etc? Also, I will ne running on veg oil so may as well fit hose that is tolerant of that. I have searched for a thread on this but did not find one.

I believe the I.D. is 3.5mm.
I ordered 1/8" Viton hose from Greaseworks @ $3 a foot.
Although I have a N.A. D24, it took about 4'.

Hope this helps,
Bryan

It is indeed 3.5mm, if you get it from a german parts supply store, make sure you get the diesel rated hose. There is also non diesel vac hose that is not fuel rated and will fall apart. (we have both at my shop, the diesel hose has a yellow stripe down it).

Well, I bought some 3.2 mm hose - you need 3 feet of it by the way - and replaced the existing (quite new) 3.5 mm hoses - problem solved. The 3.2 is not a very tight fit (just push on by hand) and I think they should be 3.2 mm NOT 3.5 mm.

Well, the diesel 3.5mm is what we sell at our shop and is on my car right now... It fits nice and snug. Maybe its a difference between brands of hose? Who knows. Good to hears its fixed.
