Default ARP Conrod Bolts.

Can someone please confirm that the ARP 104-6002 is the correct bolt kit for the big-end on a D24T/IC.

Unfortunately ARP don't list the bolt specs (length, dia etc) so I can't cross reference them to the original part, hence I'd like to double-check, before I lash out and import two kits at $138 each ......ouch ..... 8-(

Thanks!

I never figured out exactly what set was needed, I came up with the same part number as you did, but I'm not 100% they will work.
Lighting motorsports sells them for $93 a set.

I've just drawn the original factory bolt in 3D CAD and have sent ARP a dimensioned 2D drawing of it......they say they will check the sizes and get back to me.
I'II let you know one way or the other as to whether ARP have bolts and nuts to suit the D24T.

I just heard back from ARP and they DON'T have an "off the shelf" big end nut & bolt kit to suit the D24T/IC.
Special units could be made if one has the time and money.

Well after months on this due to some problems re some after market bolts I purchased and despite ARP saying their bolts probably wouldn't work on D24T I lashed out and brought a set G60 Corrado bolts so I could double-check and my engine guy said they were fine.......Yes you have to buy two (2) sets but:

ARP 104-6002, VW G60 Corrado bolts appear to be the way to go, as replacement rodbolts on the D24Tic. 8-)

That's good news! Can you post a picture of them fitted to the rod
and a side by side picture of the factory stretch bolts next to ARP's ?

I will post pics but it will be in a couple of weeks.
I initially only ordered one set of ARP bolts (given the cost) and am just about to order a second packet, but when I took them around to my engine guy who double-verified they were OK, I left the rods and bolts with him.
When I get the second set I'II take some pics.

The ARP bolts are now installed in the rods and they have been checked for roundness/ovality etc, I haven't fitted the pistons and rods in the block yet......that's tomorrows job!
