140 pounds???? That's what, 300 bucks, for a nice late-model turbodiesel wagon in running and driving condition? With a manual transmission? And hydraulic lifters?? And you're thinking about scrapping it?????????

These cars are pretty rare. It hurts me every time I see one get crushed, especially a nice red wagon with a manual gearbox. Somebody save it....!

How much to send it to Seattle, WA?

I am sorry too.
But its not cost effective to keep it,
I have just bought an 89 740td estate with a full service history no expense spared it was purchase new by a doctor and kept lovingly for 20 odd years.
It cost me £690 with tax and mot untill August.
I was planning on spending more than that on the 940.
Yes it is a shame

That paint is salvageable with a little wax and some elbow grease.

Did you find a buyer for the red one, or is it still for sale/headed for the scrap yard??
