Hi Folks,
my screen name is pretty self explanatory, my name is Jason, and I'm in St.Louis Mo. I'm working on buying a 84 760 D24T with the ZF22L auto that I cant find any info about. Yes, I started this forum before I even have the car... Its kinda tough to find them anywhere in the midwest!

I'm the service manager at Archway Import Auto here in St.Louis, Mo. I'm also a machinest and engine builder. I do everything from air cooled vw engines to diesels.

I'm the owner/administrator of the forum and am always interested to hear suggestions on ways to improve it. In fact, it was Even's idea (posted above) to have a member introductions area.

Jason

I'm George (v8volvo), have a 1985 745 with the D24T/M46 combo. Live in Seattle, WA; just drove the car here from Boston, MA. My daily driver is a 1981 VW Rabbit diesel, same engine minus two cylinders and the turbo.

I have most of the factory tools and some of the books pertaining to the D24T and am happy to help anyone in the Pacific Northwest area with service on their Volvo diesel that requires those items.

Wow that was one hell of a drive... Did you buy the car in MA?

Welcome to the forum.

I was living in MA the last 4 years (was in school back there). Bought the car in Maine, spent a few months fixing it up, graduated, and drove it out west.

2 years ago I drove my Rabbit from Seattle to Boston, then from Boston to Denver, to LA, to San Francisco, and finally back to Seattle. Compared to that, driving a nice cushy Volvo from Boston to Seattle felt like a walk in the park.

Thanks for getting this set up! :-)

Hey everybody,

Some of you dieselers may know me already, I recognize some of you. My name is Eli, and I have been into D24s for about 5 years. I bought my first when I was 17 and I have been hooked ever since. I have owned 3 D24/D24t powered cars and have had up to two extra engines rolling around.

Currently I have a 1982 245GL Diesel. with the D24+M46 drive train with 415k on it.

I am also working on swapping a D24T+ic and an M46 into a rust free 1979 245, this car will be my pride and joy. I am very excited about it.

I am looking forward to having this forum as a resource, and getting to know all of you better. I thought the email list was great, but I prefer the forum setup.

Thanks Jason!

-Eli

Where are you located? I'm assuming its the east coast or PNW, cause there is no way you would have had 3 D24 powered cars around my area! I have been looking for one for a couple years! Hell I have never even SEEN one driving around or parked anywhere, in my LIFE!
