you will need at least the front half of a props haft from an m90 car as well, maybe the full shaft would be more sensible, and then compatible clutch but i think that should be it?

Richard.

Mounting the M90 in a 900-series car:

If you had an AW70, AW71 or AW71L automatic gearbox to start with, then you can keep the transmission crossmember since that is the same p/n as the M90 crossmember. You will also need the mounting bracket for the M90 (number 16 in the last picture of gearbox parts) since that is not the same as the AW7x bracket. The crossmember from the AW7x gearbox is then moved forward in the car and mounted in the front threaded holes in the body a few inches in front of the AW7x holes (yes, there are pre-made holes for using the M90).

If you had a M46 or M47 manual gearbox to start with, then you have to get the AW7x/M90 crossmember.

You will of course need the center console trim for a manual gearbox (the M46 trim works although it is not the same as the M90 trim).
All you need to know about the M90

So now that you're got a winterizing additive in the tank, it starts fine? Sounds like gelled fuel... Good thing -- an easy fix!

Some details on what you are starting with for a gearbox might help with information: do you have an M46 now, or an automatic? Some of the tbricks info may not apply if it talks about how to swap from an AW70/71/L to an M90, since the ZF automatic in the diesel cars is a different setup than the gas AW trans. The ZF trans crossmember is the same as what an M46 uses. The trans and motor mounts are also matched to some degree, so switching from one type to another type on the trans and not changing the motor end might make things sit funny...

Yes, it was gelled fuel, now it starts fine

I have a m46, but i think i will buy another m46 because its more cheaper about 40$, if i want m90, there i will need more parts not only gearbox
