Default 940 tdi alternator seized

hi all
is it worth trying to repair my seized alternator lucky i had a spare one in shed so im back on the road now .

Most likely it’s a bad bearing. If the case didn’t get damaged it would be easy to repair. It would be a good time to replace both bearings.

Default alternator seized

hi ANDERS
the shaft/spindle won't rotate forward and very stiff in reverse i tried just undoing the case screws they are to tight any suggestion welcome

Taking the alternator to a repair centre that specialises in starter motor and alternator repairs may be the most economical solution.
