Default Timing

For those of you have done a lot of experimentation.. Where do you have your pumps timed too? I have a really long commute and I estimate 100K miles since my overhaul. I just picked up a VW Golf TDI to s stretch out my fuel a bit, so I am thinking about some performance tuning for the Volvo. I already have big exhaust, and the stock turbo turned up to 20 psi. I am getting ready to replace the cam belt, and add an intercooler. I have also been thinking about a T5 tranny swap. Any recommendations for me to consider? Also what would be a good doner to look for as far as the transmission? I am still wanting good drivability, so nothing extreme.

Thanks

Dennis

I usually time to the advance side of euro spec. IMO making sure the transfer pressure scales properly is more important.
