Default Oil pressure light...

Hello,

Hi,
I was driving my VW LT Florida yesterday and the oil light start lighting a little bit. After I turn off engine, and turn ignition again the oil light start blinking (just like it should) but the light don`t want to switch off totally. It is lighting in 100% and than in about 50%. I think it might be some electrical problem, not oil pressure, but I need to get to oil presure sensor mounted in the engine. Anyone know where should I search for it? From the cabin, or from the bottom of the car? I heard that there are two presure sensors in those engines. I hope you will understand what I mean
I also put link to the video: https://youtu.be/5uRqemEjMWo

Thanks,
Maxim

I have had bad oil pressure sensors before, that causes the low oil pressure indicator to remain lit during running. The sensor mounted low on the block under the vacuum pump, next to the motor mount bracket.

Ngoma, do you mean this sensor?

I disconnected it, and when ignition is on, the oil light is still lighting a little bit.
Just like on the video:

I heard that there is another oil pressure sender. Anyone knows where?
I have got D24 TIC.

May someone help me to find second oil pressure sender?

I`ve found only one (marked in red circle). As far as I know that should be second one near oil filter but can`t find it.

Good.

Can you describe where it was? Maybe someone else will need the answer in the future.

Some of the later '90s VW diesels and TDIs here had several sensors, two near the filter and one in the head, with a complex warning system that accounted for temperature and had both high/low pressure warnings. Seems they devoted significant engineering work to this.
