Headgasket not the biggest job in the world to do - I did mine (MLS gasket, new bolts, waterpump, cambelt, including few tools) for less than £200.
As you're UK though - please let me know if you are going to scrap it - would be interested in a few parts if that's ok? I'm from Halesowen, near Birmingham.

Could not do it
Like an old pet,could not do the "glock" solution.
Have fixed Volvo,running better than ever. Need a silver boot lid,if anyone has one.
