Default Remove Turbo from D24T.

Hi.

I Need some Infos, how to remove the Turbo from a D24T

Oil Supply and Oil REturn Lines should be no Problem.
The 4 Nuts from the Downpipe ... and the 4 Nuts on the T3 Flange on the Exhaust Manifold...

How are they Easy removed, Tried with a Ring Wrench, they are very hard, couldīnt get it loose ... ? Impact Wrench better Idea ?
And how to get it off the Exhaust manifold ...

Is it possible to remove it, if the exhaust manifold is still mounted on the Engine ? (Only want to remove Turbocharger)
Will do it as easy as possible...

Any Tips are welcome
Thanks in Advance
Greetings from Europe

It is possible to remove it with the exhaust manifold in the car. It may be hard to get an impact on most of the nuts though. Sometimes double-wrenching helps.

I've always been able to remove those turbo-to-manifold nuts without too much trouble but our cars here in the western US don't rust. Where you are, corrosion may be part of the issue.

Heat always helps. The turbo-to-downpipe nuts often take the studs out with them but that's not really a problem.

As a last resort, removing the whole manifold is no big deal, and those nuts almost always come off with minimal trouble.

A trick is to tighten the bolt/nuts before loosening. Just a little 1/8rmp til it makes a sound/klik

This are the specifications of MY new Turbo:

:-) Do you think I will be happy with it ? (Will install it in 2 Weeks, including Intercooler and a Oil Cooler- 9 Rows are OK ? Or to small ?? - I Will remove the original Oil/Water Heater *lol*)
except anyone here says that i will not be happy with this turbo , because its to big/ to small (whatelse, donīt have a plan *lol*)

Greetings

Installed the Turbo.

It "comes" very slowly (spooling ...).
0,2 Bar at 2400 rpm and i set it to 0,8 bar at 4500 rpm . (More boost impossible, Turbo is too big.)

I Think this Turbo is a little bit tooo Big for the Engine.

I Screwed the Fuel Screw a half in, so it spools a little bit quicker, but smoke smoke smoke ...

What can i do ?
Remove it and install another one ?

Or can i modify this one ? I think the Exhaust Turbine is too big, Takes a loooot of time to spool up .

Iīm unhappy with it.

Greetings

So please, Show me a T3 Turbo with 4 Bolt Outlet (exhaust, so the original Downpipe will fit), which is Okay

Maybe is here anybody who wants to sell a used "biggger than the original, but a Size who can handle the engine) Turbo.

Greetings
