Controversial suggestion there.

The van actually belongs to busboybob who is a less active member on here.
He got the van from an old German mechanic who I beleive imported it as a delivery spec bare bones van,did a pretty nice camper conversion, and got it up to 50,000 miles. Bob bought it, and found it desperately slow, as well as having running problems after a shop seriously failed some repairs in Oregon (fuel tank loose, cut and crossed the big radiator hoses, etc). He ordered a D24TIC from the import place in LA , was looking for some parts info here, and realized I live 40 miles away. Since he never had a turbo or diesel before this, I agreed to help out with the install. Yes we are required since 1968 to have side markers. I remember commenting on how 'those look just like Chevy truck lenses'. |

BusBoyBob lives on Brickyard too.
VoLT members love the van. I still have not found any more rubbing strip attired LTs. Could have used front indicator lenses as repaters and keep it consistent.

locally, those front indicators were probably really hard to find once repeaters were needed.

On our van. The vw trans input is the same size, and practice e makes the trans pull easier.
