Thanks for asking!

Jason and I are currently in the process of transitioning to a new hosting location for the forum. There will not be any significant change in the way the forum operates. However, once we get everything switched over, we have talked about setting up a way for members to donate to help keep the forum's doors open. The ongoing costs are not high but a couple bucks here and there will help.

I will post information about this once the transition is complete, and will probably create a PayPal account that members can help fund with voluntary donations at that point.

George

Thanks. That's just what I needed to know. This site has been very helpful and considerate to me lately -- especially you George and several others. Thanks again.

Thanks for thinking of us... It isn't free to keep it up! We do what we can though.

Jason is the one who has really put up $$ for the forum so far, so thinking about it more now, if you would like to donate, sending a few bucks directly to him might be even better at this point. That is the way we have done it in the past here.

You mean snail mail? Or do you have a Paypal account Jason? You will have much better luck getting donations if you make it something that can be done quickly and while people are thinking about it. Personally, I'm not very good at getting things into the mail. That's why my wife is in charge of paying the bills. I'm willing to do whatever since you guys have already helped me a great deal.

Now if I can just find some time to get out there and start trouble shooting my car.

I have a paypal account but you don't need to send anything.. George is taking over the responsibility of hosting and I expect has or will have a paypal account to take donations. Probably should put that info in a sticky somewhere.

Once setup I'd be up for chucking a few in - this is a great forum that's really helped me out - help isn't easy to find for these engines on this side of the pond!

Also - if anyone was to do some window stickers I'd buy a couple of those for the back of my brick!

Jason made a bunch of D24T.com stickers early on and sent some out at that time. I still have a pile of them sitting on my desk, and would be happy to send a few out to anyone wanting one. They really should be stuck to diesel bricks, not sitting next to my computer. You can PM me your address and I will see what it will cost to send a couple your way.

Funny thought -- If only you had asked about this 2 months ago.... I spent an overnight near London in late April on my way to eastern Europe and could have dropped an envelope in the mail while I was there for only a few pence!

Many thanks for voicing your offer to add to the pot -- everything helps and, since we don't have any annoying banner ads around here, in the long term support from members is the way this place will stay alive. Our forum transition is on the back burner this month since I am overseas. I will post information about how to make a donation once I am able to get the wheels back in motion this summer.

George, posting in Otok Rab, Croatia
