Default I agree that heater hoses arent the best to be used as vapor hoses etc.

Although I have a heater hose/ coolant hose installed underneath my car that is connecting the two 1/2 inch inner diameter hard FUEL lines without any hiccups so far...
My temporary roadside repair is a 4-5 year old miracle by now.
The diesel is known to penetrate and weaken rubbers so idk how but it is holding up pretty well...knock on wood.

On this same d24t I installed a 3/4 inch inner diameter heater hose as a crankcase vapor hose (another roadside repair 600miles away from home on a roadtrip, 4+years ago).
It is holding very okay but I am planning to locate the original hose. Suggestions are welcome....idk where to find such an antique rare part.
