The '80 diesels, especially the wagons, are true oddballs. They have the early dash, early 11mm engines (if the engine is original), early tail lights, and some other unique things. Probably my favorite year on the diesels personally due to the fact that they are so unique and rare. I have owned a few, and have one currently.
