A few months back I had a rather significant leak from where the high pressure fuel lines screw into the injector pump. The car ran well but fuel was leaking down the side of the engine block. Tightened the lines and stopped the leak. My point here is as significant as my leakage was it did not keep the car from running well, so I doubt that your starting problem lies there.
