The early D24T spools (1983 only) are the same as D24T spools... then when Volvo switched to the shorter style throttle cable on the '84+ turbodiesels, the spool design changed too.

If you are installing this D24T into a 240, which I recall you are, you will actually want the earlier style D24T spools, or D24 spools, since those are the ones that work with a 240 throttle cable.

Either way, I recommend sending your complete spool assembly to Tom Bryant to have them re-bushed. The vibration tends to wear out the bushings on the cruise spools, and eventually they wear the bevel off the shaft too and then they quit working. And as you have discovered, they are nearly impossible to find if you need to replace them once they have failed...

I have D24/early D24T spools that I can sell you, and also have one late D24T spool assembly I can let go of, but it is for a non-cruise application.
