The 6mm bolt is correct for the idler, it's long. It goes through the idler, through the oil pump housing and threads into the block. The larger threads on the idler itself are for using the puller to remove it.

The crank seal is R&Red from the front.

Make sure to get the crank bolt torqued down with locktight!
