Where did they put the alternator/generator on the US cars?

Below the alternator is the power steering pump, and below that the A/C... not sure there's room anywhere else!

Hi folks,

I've fitted an electric fan to my D24T(IC)

It's a standard Volvo 940 (large) one, which fits on the radiator, and uses a 2 speed relay.

To trigger it, I bought a kit from eBay...

With mine, I've tried connecting the pump direct to the throttle diaphragm (so no brake switches to present problems) and with the pump given 12v to the top and bottom...
