Changed my mind. Maybe not so easy to remove the temp sensor because of the PS pump bracket obstructs. Easiest step would be to correlate gauge temps with a non-contact infrared thermometer.

Only sign is the engine will suddenly quit running. Upon further inspection you will find at least bent valves, damaged pistons, probably bent connecting rods as this is an interference engine....
