my 1993 944 d24tic
|
Wow, that sounds great! I counted about 13 seconds 0-100 km, which is a whole lot faster than the 30 seconds it takes in my N/A D24!
|
Thanks but I think the dp needs a litlle adjustment... because when turnig sharply left and wacking down the throttle you can here it going against the body of the car... there is only about 1/2 inch free space between the downpipe and the body...
I would like to get hold of a 11 mm pump head/piston assy as this with another turbo/ic setup is proven to give about 200 bhp:D |
A original d24 with manual trans do 17 seconds from 0-100km/h
|
Sounds pretty quick. I wish I could find a car with the D24 engine over here as new as a 1993! Once again everyone in Europe get the good cars and we get the leftovers!

Engine sounds excellent. Clutch slipping a bit on hard shifts? |
No clutch is fine that is me keeping the revs up... the od on the other hand needs an overhaul...
Engine runs ok but have another that is gonna get a good overhaul and maybe another turbo + ic setup... The rest of the car is ok but then I have never been the one who cleans and polish cars every weekend... The reason for keeping this car is that besides the engine all the parts are dead cheap here in sweden.... you can buy new discs and calipers for all 4 wheels for about 350 usd and also I pay almost nothing for the fuel... And the number one reason It does not have electronics everywhere.... |
[QUOTE=v8volvo;643]No you don't. ;)
I like automatic I have a d24t m46 if i will drive fast and i have a datsun 280c 2,8 diesel automatic with automatic power windows. Thats a nice car to drive;) |
