Any experience with the "Tiny Tach" diesel Tachometer?

Interesting concept; a sensor that clamps around one of the injector fuel feed lines senses the fuel pulses and uses that to determine engine speed.

I'm not to fond of the digital display, but at $95 I like the price, and installation seems easy enough.

I was just wondering if anybody here had seen one of these in action.

I have something very similar on my sawmill. It's pretty neat as it shows how many hours of run time (not like an hour meter that counts time when the ignition is on).

This would be a nice alternative to people with 240s instead of the costly diesel 240 tachometer. Also if you want to upgrade alternator on a 7 series and still have a tach.

You can add the tach terminal to any alternator if you have a soldering iron.

Ohh i was unaware of that. Thanks.
