lowering 83 240 wagon

Looking to lower my diesel. Cutting springs? Ipd springs? Coilovers? Looking for about a 1-1/2" to 2" drop or so. Would lIke to be comfortable still. Just looking for some input

Drop some IPD lowering springs in it. The front might lower more then specified on there website because of the heavier Diesel engine.

Including 4 new shocks we just lowered a 1992 244 by `ipd short/lowering spring set` and it came out beautiful. just what we wanted. what a dream came true. next: bars. will post pictures this friday. car doesnt ride too rough. (shocks are not hd) Front dropped more, maybe 1.75-2. Rear : not much, maybe 1 inch. GO FOR IT! here is the before-after

I did the 740 susp too so now got all these `old` springs sleeping together :) and i`d say for sure they are not identical. Oh but 740 is a wagon. IDK then. Springs are not even close. Inserts might be the same (idk... but i used the 740`s bilstein gland nuts in the 240 strut housing/tube, np)
