Frisian 740 D24t

Hi guys,

My name is Binne, 26 years old and working a our own scrap metal company.
I live in Fryslân, north of the Netherlands.

Driving a Volvo 740 d24t since 5 years now and had a v70 tdi between 740's

Recently replaced the engine of my green/blue 740 with de engine of my white 740 because it was drinking more oil then I drink beer..

Thing is that the engine of my white 740 has more than a million KM's but still going strong!
The engine that I took out of the green/blue one had only 680k's and everything was worn including fuel pump.

A few pics of my ride

I've bought the station because I this summer me and a friend of mine are going to the North cape (northern Norway) and we are taking the long way round, through Germany, Poland, Russia/Kalinrad, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Norway and then back through Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and then home.

A few mods I've done and are going to :

- N/A Manifold (done)
- Turning up the fuel pump (done)
- Adding a bit of boost, around 16psi/1.1 bar
- Refurbishing injectors with GTD injectors
- Install intercooler, partially done.. need to get tubing and hoses
- New filters and oil
- Replacing rear shocks as they are worn to sh*t
- Fixing problem with fuse 5, the thing just keeps on blowing out.

Thank you,
Now hope that it's gonna last the trip,

Last long trip was to Berlin, Poland and Czech Republic and when I was near Berlin my clutch exploded.. Only way to fix it was at a German garage who really liked to help a tourist (read : asking to much money for a rwd clutch replacement)

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate breakdown in Germany. Sounds like the journey you have planned for this summer will an epic one!
