Thoughts on open air cone filter vs oem
 

Heard a few d24s with big cone filters and they sound amazing...

But I've seen on some other forums that they don't actually benefit the engine and can suck in all sorts of crap and even water?

Do i cone filter or not?

What is your goal? Big sound? Prolong engine life? Make space for turbo retrofit?

Seriously liking the sound they make, possibly looking at getting a hx35 in there at some point, got the good ol garret t3 right now.

Prolonging engine life is my worry, or at least not drastically reducing it... As it's my daily/only car
