problem with the tachometre
 
hi
my volvo 760 gle td with the d24t has problem with the tachometre so i sea that no wire is plugged so i ask someone he told me that i should plugged it in the alternator in the same time i have a cutted wire in the alternator so am i suppose to pluuged it in the alternator or there is a sensor in the engine made for the tach please help me

On your alternator there should be a connection called "w" this is for tacho signal.
If your alternator does not have this it is probably from a gasser....

Might this be the reason my tach died today and the battery, brake, e.brake, and a couple other lights came on?

Check if your generator drivebelt is still there....

i can't find the w connector olso i don't understand what you mean by gasser is there a wiring diagram or some pictures of the write connector in the d24t engine please someone help

Here is a picture of the "w" terminal for the tachometer on the alternator.

hi what's up i'am back again with the same question about the tachometre so the alternator in my car doesn't have the w connector so except the alternator where i can plug the wire that goes from this connector in the picture http://lh3.ggpht.com/_irHMnsW5mgg/St.../740-89-24.gif
