One question, I watched these 2 videos, and I like the sound of your cars. that cone-mushroom filter works good?
I have one in my house and I don not know if I should installed it or not
thanks

Please, dont install it.
Volvo original filter will flow up to somewhere 400hp.
So you dont need it for a while.
Its like worstest thing you can do to your engine,
sucks everything smaller than squirrel to engine..
And almost everyone just installs it to turbos mouth,
so it just takes hot air to engine, really clever "tuning".

That filter is an HKS foam filter.. yeah probably not that smartest thing but, better than nothing at all.

Interesting, we sell UNI foam filters at work for all the off road buggies and race cars. They do a much better job of trapping dirt and crap then a K&N ever has. We used to sell the guaze filters but not any more. Cars with the K&N filters would be lucky to run a weekend without clogged jets or crap somewhere in the carb. Since selling UNI filters to all the off road guys, we have much less complaints about clogged carbs. Foam filters are also OE for pretty much all dirt bikes and ATVs, not gauze. Given the choice I would stick with the foam over K&N. A giant paper filter would be best though...

Its not a compromise, they are installed because they do a better job filtering. What good would it do to install a filter that lets crap through and clogs everything up? K&N filters have the squirel cage nickname... not foam filters.

Uni Foam filters are also OE now for Harely Davidson, I'm quite sure they have a longer life expectancy than 5000 miles.

Ha! pretty much like my Volvo!
