problem with the tachometre
hi
my volvo 760 gle td with the d24t has problem with the tachometre so i sea that no wire is plugged so i ask someone he told me that i should plugged it in the alternator in the same time i have a cutted wire in the alternator so am i suppose to pluuged it in the alternator or there is a sensor in the engine made for the tach please help me |
On your alternator there should be a connection called "w" this is for tacho signal.
If your alternator does not have this it is probably from a gasser.... |
Might this be the reason my tach died today and the battery, brake, e.brake, and a couple other lights came on?
|
Check if your generator drivebelt is still there....
|
Its still there :) That was the first thing I checked.
|
i can't find the w connector olso i don't understand what you mean by gasser is there a wiring diagram or some pictures of the write connector in the d24t engine please someone help
|
I will try to take a picture when I come home again it will be erliest on friday.
Gasser is a car with gasoline engine |
Here is a picture of the "w" terminal for the tachometer on the alternator.
Hope it helps, best regards / Tommy http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/...atord24tic.jpg |
