Swedish car show

The 9th Swedish car cruise in will be on February 15th this year at the Triple X Root Beer Diner at 98 N.E. Gilman Blvd., Issaquah WA. It's always a fun event with good burgers. Its a great time talking with other D24/D24t powered Volvo owners. I will be attending with the car in my sig. I should also have a friend attending with his diesel volvo.
Here is the website, http://www.triplexrootbeer.com
Who else will be attending?

Unfortunately it looks like I have to be out of town that weekend and will not be able to make it. :( Bummer they scheduled it for Presidents Day weekend this year.

This is always a great event and I hope there is some good diesel representation there! I will be bummed to miss it -- whoever goes should plan to take pictures...

I will be bringing my original '84 760GLE D24T. I really hope to see you there, shoot me a text @ 253-590-3579 anytime! My name is Cole, from Tacoma. Find me on Facebook, Cole Bear. I am hosting a Volvo journey up North on the 31st.

anders 01-15-2015 04:44 AM

Well so far it looks like there will be 4 diesel volvo's there.

That's a bummer you won't be able to make it George, we will need to plan another get together for us D24t owners.

I look forward to meeting you Cole and checking out what sounds like a nice 760, I might have my 760 there as well..

I will be there too! We should all try and park in an area together. What time will you guys plan on being there? I will be coming from Tukwila, WA.

RollinCole 01-15-2015 09:24 PM

I'll be coming from Tacoma, not sure what time I'll be getting there but whoever gets there first should try to reserve a couple spots.

anders 01-20-2015 07:44 AM

The show starts at 9:00 am, I think we should all meet there around 8-8:30 to get the cars parked together. Chad and I showed up a little late I think last year and we didn't really get a parking spot.
I'm not sure if you can save a spot or not, it's a first come first served type deal.

We can also all meet up somewhere in Tacoma then drive to the show from there..

Anders and others, I'd be glad to have you all over at my place in Fife very close to Tacoma for coffee and last minute prep/detailing that any of you guys need. I have a three car garage and a kick ass coffee maker!

And a picture for my next project. Third generation GM v8 swap into a 240. This particular wagon had a LM7/4L60E transplant ( 5.3 and 4 speed auto from 04 silverado) the engine looks right at home.

chad1966 02-17-2015 07:37 PM

That LS swap would look a WHOLE lot better with a car intake and drive a WHOLE lot better with a T-56 6 speed. :) Let me know when you get er done so I can test drive it for ya. haha

I did until I finished this car. it was a 84 with a d24t. It was a good car, never let me down it 2 years.
