MBC Connection
Hello
Stock turbo in D24T has 2 hoses going to WG I want to instal MBC, but I don't know how, which hose I have to cut ? Some photos will be great :) |
On all the stock d24t engines I have seen there is two different size hoses going to the WG. There is the larger hose connected towards the outlet of the compressor, this is the one you want to use. Sorry for not having any pictures.

I know that I need to plug mbc in 1 hose, but what about the 2 ? |
Connect into hose #1. Leave #2 alone, I haven't played with the stock turbos much but I believe #2 hose is air filter restriction compensation.

I had to engineer a small leakby into my MBC to get it to work right...the valve is cooled by air through that hose.
here's what's in there. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4853150 |
So the #2 hose is for the return of the "hot air"? That would make sense as the waste gate actuator is directly attached to the turbine housing.

Okej, thanks guys :) We will see the power on the 1.2bar :D
|
MBC have plugged as shown in the scheme below, to the hose 1 from post above. However, the turbo did not respond to the shooting mbc, blows to 0.7 bar, and so holds. The valve itself is OK, this type only regulates the flow of air through each other and that it works. Air flow through the tee toward the wastegate. Blowing from the wastegate and mbc in cold side turbo lack of routes, which probably good, just as I blow from the cold air that goes to the wastegate and mbc. All kind of okay, and the lack of regulation.

Put it where the T is, and ignore the 3rd line that you will no longer have.
Dead end of 3rd line in pic goes to wastegate. You might need about an 0.020" bleed hole downstream of the controller. |
I have mbc bleed type and I think this is a problem. MBC have small vent whole and pressure escapes not enough. I need to buy mbc type pressure
