HI, new member from Portugal
 

Hi. I´m from Portugal and i have 2 D24,
A Motorhome VW LT 28 D24 75hp and a VOLVO 940 Turbo diesel intercooler with power steering.
I bougth the volvo to swap the engine, but now i feel sorry for the volvo.... i like that car lol
Anyone else doing a swap to LT here?

I love the D24 motorhome, but that car is WAY too nice to part out. Surely you can rebuild the motorhome engine, or get a junkyard engine?

Both of those vehicles you have were not ever sold in North America, so most of us would love to see any photos or details you post. Man, I would love to own a D24 motorhome!

Nice looking rig, and nice Volvo too... over here a clean 940 TD like that would be a prize in its own right, not a parts donor, but I know it's a different world on your side of the water! :D

There are several other LT owners here and I believe at least a few of them have TD motors in them -- probably Volvo swaps I assume -- although didn't some of the later LT vans come with a turbo from the factory too?

If you search a bit, I think there was at least one thread about converting an LT from D to TD, a while back somewhere...

Thanks! The problem is that this volvo diesel are rare here too! Just like the Classic LT! The VW Lt came from germany, and this volvo was a great finding! Only 700 euros.... Thats the price of a motor in a junkyard! I will post more photos soon.
