BluevanACD2005 05-13-2016 03:20 AM

jeeze, if it was a month later I would be able to go. 7 hours away from me. Brick isn't ready... needs tires and a few other small things, but I'm in the middle of buying a house.

Op didnt even go

S&W 629 06-01-2016 05:32 PM

Wish I could have made it. I was in north western Pennsylvania visiting my mom. No time for driving to Carlisle. Had my Ford F-250 7.3 liter diesel truck.

Op was super-tired, car unfinished, with a terrible weather combo. :(
The next show won`t be missed. :)

R.Mojica 12-02-2016 06:04 AM

6 months away!

BluevanACD2005 12-07-2016 09:40 AM

Aiming to go this time! With this much time, a little planning and I should make it!

Got the car almost road ready, but I am building a D24T now to swap out with a stock D24T.....

For sure. I'll PM my phone number....

BluevanACD2005 05-02-2017 04:31 AM

So who's going to Carlisle 2017?

Spenser

R.Mojica 05-02-2017 06:01 AM

me but I registered the XC90 only. the 740 just isn't running that great. my coworker is still gonna try and bring his 745 TD and a local guy with a 744 TD.

BluevanACD2005 05-02-2017 06:48 AM

I just bought tickets to the event and booked a hotel. I didn't register my car because I'll be using it to get around too. Anyone that wants to see it is welcome though. I figured I'd just look at other cars more than anything.

Spenser

R.Mojica 05-02-2017 10:44 AM

you can come and go as you please with cars registered for show.

BluevanACD2005 05-02-2017 11:02 AM

Non-judged show field?

R.Mojica 05-03-2017 06:08 AM

BluevanACD2005 05-08-2017 04:18 AM

Sounds good man. I should be there around 2 or 3 Friday, in a silver 760 with the Eiker rims.

R.Mojica 05-08-2017 06:16 AM

R.Mojica 05-12-2017 08:36 AM

lmao you and Adam are twins aside from the wheels. cant remember what color his interior is. black maybe.

BluevanACD2005 05-12-2017 09:59 AM

Well that will make him easy to spot then lol.

I can't wait, I don't get out to car shows often... this week will be going over the car, change the oil (first time on this engine), and making sure I have a good spare tire/jack.

Spenser

adamdrives 05-12-2017 02:36 PM

Black interior, x70 t5 wheels and blacked out bezels and grille. Hopefully I will have lowering springs on it by then and maybe hydras or propus. Also missing most of the clearcoat on my hood and roof.

BluevanACD2005 05-13-2017 04:46 AM

It's funny you say that because my roof is missing a lot of clear coat too....

Went for a drive in Spensers freshly rebuilt, t5 swapped, big turbo intercooled, 12mm pump d24t 744 at carlisle. Wow, that thing moves. Only hitting 10 or so psi, feels almost like a gas car, it actually pushes you back in your seat (I have yet to experience this phenomenon in mine). The transmission is such an improvement over the m46, really clean direct shifts and and better ratios in 1st to 2nd. Makes my dying-synchro m46 feel positively crude in comparison. The car itself was incredibly clean under the hood, Spenser you should post some pics of your engine bay.

BluevanACD2005 05-24-2017 12:16 PM

Thanks for the compliments! I liked the suspension improvements on yours. It handled much better then mine.

I did order a T3/t4 hybrid turbo, as well as a 9cm housing for the H1C turbo on the car now. That should fix the lack of boost.

Then to fix the clutch slipping issue, I ordered a 6-puck clutch and pressure plate with stronger springs.

I'll post some pics a little later, at work right now...

Carlisle was a great time, with a lot of cars. I enjoyed it a lot.

Spenser

BluevanACD2005 01-11-2018 06:14 AM

2018 Carlisle????

I have 2/3 issues fixed on the 760... Put the T3/T4 turbo on (Boost comes on soooo much sooner), and got a better clutch in it (no more slipping).

I still have to do the strut mounts.... Ran out of time because I started working a lot of OT. Then it got super cold.

Spenser

RedArrow 02-24-2018 09:41 PM

I'm planning to get there in my 740. Hopefully other dieselers could do the same...

RedArrow 05-17-2018 04:55 PM

I can't make it this year.
