I have a tic on the bench and i would like to improve the cooling and moreover to have faster optimum oil temp level temperature.

That's why i thought about an oil/water cooler like on the golf 2 and 3.
it's the same engine with 2 cylinders less so...

i've seen a member that did it here on his 244.

I know threre is a radiator with a thermostat from factory but i would heat up the oil quick to avoid wear better and maybe add a sandwich plate to install oil pressure and temp sensors.

it will go for a na engine first and a tic engine in a 245.

If you have ideas or experience or advices !

An oil thermostat will heat up the oil far faster.

I'm confused about what you're asking. All D24Ts have the same oil/water cooler as the golf from the factory. I'm not a big fan of them, because I had one fail suddenly, pumping the coolant system full of oil.

oh really ?

i didn't know that.

i have an air oil cooler on mine from factory with a thermostat in a sandwich plate

it came from a 900 so it's maybe the difference.

anyway that's what i would like to do
i've seen bigger one on later golf or even ford wich are copper made :D
