Well I just baught my first Volvo. Found it on CL. 1984 760gle with a d24t. The car has 88900 original miles on it and has not been registered or on the road since gramma ran it out of gas in 1995. I purchased the car for $600. Overall clean and straight. I have turned my fair share of wrenches through the years, cut my first knuckles on my moms car lot when i was growing up. I understand the principles behind diesel engines but have zero experience with them or volvos. Ive learned alot from the forum so far and hope to take my first test drive soon. I have am older fellow in town that works on volvos, bmws, ect... helping me. Just bleeding the injectors now. Hes going to get it running and then decide what to do next. Probly a timing belt from what ive read on the forum so far. You guys got any advice for a d24 rookie?
